January 15, the Rector of Ural State University of Economics Yakov Silin, presented certificates of merit and letters of thanks to the staff members of the University for their many-years conscientious work, professionalism, and contribution to the training of high-skilled specialists.

USUE students supported Uralochka-NTMK team in the return match of the round of last 32 of the European Volleyball Confederation Cup (CEV Cup). The international match against the Romanian CSM Bucharest team was held at DIVS (Palace of Team Sports).

One of the priority areas of development of the Department of Labor Economics and HR Management for 2018 is the creation of a scientific school that could help nurture young scientists, promote defense of their dissertations and publication of their articles in high-ranking scientific journals and also make up a scientific agenda in the field of labor economics for researchers of our country.

This year, one of the most significant events in the life of USUE is the IX Eurasian Economic Youth Forum. By tradition, the concepts and logo for this large-scale international event are being developed.

The corresponding law was signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. Now, foreign students who had studied the Russian language for a year and entered a university will be able to extend their study visas without leaving the country.
