In Samara, III All-Russia meeting of student search groups "Soldier’s Destiny" was held. More than 150 young searchers and commanders of student search teams from 80 secondary special and higher educational institutions of Russia took part in the event. A delegation from the Sverdlovsk region included three search groups from Yekaterinburg: "Honor and Memory" (USUE), "Styx" (USPU), and "P.S.-Vozrozhdenie" (USAU).

February 20, Kamensk-Uralsky hosted the first regional forum "Ural Territory of Quality. Foods". The organizers of this event were the Ministry of Agriculture of the Sverdlovsk region, the Administration of the Kamensk-Uralsky, the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ural State University of Economics.
Ural State University of Economics summed up the contest of essays dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army: "Russian Armed Forces from the Revolution to Our Days." The event was held within the framework of the action "Heroes Are Among Us".
